TEC RELEASE WB
TEC RELEASE WB
CONCENTRATED MOULD RELEASE-EMULSION
KEY BENEFITS AND FEATURES
- Dilutable with upto 5 times clean water thereby becoming a very economical release agent.
- Reacts with the alkalinity in the concrete to form a very thin film close to the mould ensuring easy removal of moulds.
- Guarantee's easy release of form work, be it wood plywood or steel forms.
- Ensures neat finish of concrete on removal of forms.
- Reduces blow-holes in concrete and also ensures neat edges.
- Does not affect the bond of subsequent plasters to concrete surface.
- Does not stain the concrete surface.
- Prevents wooden and plywood shutters from water absorption and subsequent swelling.
- Protects steel form work against corrosion.
- Extends life of all kinds of formwork.
- The forms can be cleaned easily with water, between uses.
- Being a concentrate substantially reduces transportation costs.
- Higher spread rate due to dilution results in further reduction in cost.
USAGE
- Useful for all kinds of forms wood, plywood and steel.
- Ideal for use in moulds for Pre- Cast Concrete.
- Suitable for use in steam cured concrete.
- Also suitable for use in warm weather concreting.
- Particularly suited for wooden moulds where forms removal takes over 24 hours.
- Do not use for shorter de-molding time (less than 24 hours).
- Non-staining property permits usage with white cement.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
SURFACE PREPARATION
Very little surface preparation is required for new moulds. Wiping clean to be free of dust and deposits would suffice. For used moulds complete removal of previous use cement deposits and previously applied release oils is vital. Steel moulds should be cleaned to be free of rust.
MIXING
Tec R Release WB should be diluted in the ratio 1:5 with good, clean water in a clean container. Stir the mix till a uniform solution results. In case the mix is not used the same day, repeat stirring thoroughly each time the mix is used. For best results, use the mix within 5days of preparation.
APPLICATION
Tec R Release WB may be applied by brush, clean cloth or sprayer. One thin layer application is sufficient for steel forms. Excess application is not only expensive but also counter productive leading to concrete surface dusting. After the first application, subsequent applications may be done immediately after removal of mould and proper cleaning. Wood and plywood moulds may be impregnated with a second coat application when new. Subsequently only single coats need be applied. While using cloth, the cloth should be immersed in the solution and then squeezed to ensure a very thin coat. The emulsion coating on the mould should be completely dry before concrete placement. The coated moulds should be protected from rain till it dries out. Further stacked shutters if exposed to heavy rainfall should be recoated before use. The de-shuttered moulds should be cleaned each time the mould is removed and recoated prior to next use.
