TEC GROUT PGA
TEC GROUT PGA
POLYESTER RESIN GROUT
KEY BENEFITS AND FEATURES
- Rapid setting permits completion of rod anchoring jobs in 30-45 minutes.
- Speedy strength gain helps in accelerating restoration time.
- Exhibits excellent dimensional stability. Does not expand or shrink on curing.
- Resistant to corrosion and prevents anchored rods and bolts from corroding.
- Remains unaffected by vibration in adjacent areas.
- High pull out strength allows reduction in hole diameter and depth.
- Can be used for underwater grouting application.
USAGE
- Ideal for anchoring bolts and rebar's into concrete, tock and masonry where high application speed and early load application are required.
- Best suited for high strength anchoring of machinery foundation blots permitting early start up of the machines.
- Ideal for grouting rebar's for extending concrete, both horizontal and vertical.
- Can be used effectively for installation of staircase hand rails.
- Other uses include installation of base plates, balustrades, tower anchor, fan clamps, crane rails, railway tracks and dowel rods.
- Also suited for under anchoring jobs.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Hole Preparation
For optimum performance the holes must be dust free and rough sided. Rotary drilling is recommended followed by flushing with air or water. Holes should also free of oils and grease. Rod Preparation: The rods shall be cleaned to be free of rust, flakes, oils, grease, etc.
Mixing
TecR Grout PGA comes in pre-weighed proportions of Resin and Catalyst, The entire pack shall be mixed thoroughly. Do not attempt partial mixing. Mixing should preferably be done mechanically. When a smooth and homogenous consistency is achieved the mix is ready for placement. Placement should be completed within the gel time of the grout.
Placement
The homogenous mix should be poured steadily into the prepared holes. In case of vertical applications a caulking gun may be used to avoid air entrapment. The bar to be anchored should then be inserted into the hole to the required depth. The rod may be stirred mildly to ensure complete bond and simultaneously remove entrapped air. Installation should not be done at temperatures above 35°C or below 10°C as this will badly affect performance of the grout.
DESIGN CRITERION
Hole Depth
The following formula can be applied for deciding the hole depth: 2 Minimum hole depth (in mm) = 0.15Y A/ S B 2 2 Where Y-Characteristic yield strength of steel (460N / mm ), S Permitted shear in concrete (N/mm ), A-Bar diameter, B Hole diameter.
Hole Diameter
The following table may be used as a guideline for deciding hole diameter for drilling.

PRECAUTIONS
Storage and Shelf life
TEC GROUT PGA must be store under cover, out of direct sunlight and protect from extremes of temperature. Shelf life is 12 months when stored as above. Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product or packaging.
CLEANING
Tools and equipments should be cleaned within the pot of the grout. Tool Cleaner Tec Nova SOL may be used for this purpose. Cured grout can only be removed mechanically.
