KEY BENEFITS AND FEATURES

USAGE

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Surface Preparation

The surface should be sound, free from dirt, oils and greases. Water jetting is the best surface preparation method for TecR Wave 7000 application, since this will ensure that the surface to be treated is free of laitance and other contaminants. Further this will also ensure that the surface is completely water saturated and damp prior to application of TecR Wave 7000. New concrete surfaces should be cleaned with acid to remove release oil residues. Further thorough water washing should be carried out to neutralize the acid used. Initiation of crystallization process in TecR Wave 7000 requires the presence of moisture. In all cases therefore the surface set to receive TecR Wave 7000 should be puddle free damp. Cold joints and cracks exceeding 0.25mm width should be cut to form a neat groove and then filled with a mortar prepared using TecR Wave 7000 and just enough water to obtain a sag free mortar.

Mixing

TecR Wave 7000 is a single component system- only clean water need be added for mixing. Add three parts TecR Wave 7000 to one part clean water and mix thoroughly until a uniform mix of brushable consistency is achieved. Only mix enough material that can be applied well within the pot life. Mixing should continue while applying. Do not re-temper with water if mix thickens.

Application

The surface to be treated should be saturated with water and excess water removed before application of TecR Wave 7000. The mix must then be applied on the prepared concrete surface with a stiff bristled brush ensuring uniform spread and avoiding puddles. Subsequent coats can be applied after the previous coat is surface dry.

Avoid application at temperatures above 40°C or below 10°C.

At temperatures around 30°C the drying time would be 4-6 hours.

Post Application

Curing is vital for optimum performance of Tec Wave 7000- Crystallization type waterproofing system. Curing should commence 24 hours after application and should continue for a minimum period of 7 days. For maximum crystallization to take place the applied coating should be kept continuously moist for a minimum period of 48 hours. And water storage should be permitted only after 7 days of air curing. The crystallization process will continue after storage of water and it may take 2-3 weeks for for the system to reach peak performance.
