KEY BENEFITS AND FEATURES

USAGE

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

Base Concrete

A Maximum Slump of 125 mm (5”) should be specified for floors. The concrete should be laid and compacted neatly to ensure a neat finish. Concrete should be plasticized to reduce shrinkage through water reduction. The minimum cement content for a good interior exposed floor finish is 300 Kgs/M3

Application

The floor concrete should be laid in bays and the required quantity of Tec R Floor Z should be kept ready. Spreading of Tec R Floor Z can begin when the floor concrete has attained 60-70% stiffening (when small imprints are formed when pressed by hand). In the first stage of application 60 to 70% of Tec Floor Z should be spread over the base concrete that has attained initial stiffening. This surface should be leveled with the power trowel fixed with a disc. Immediately after leveling course has been applied the remaining quantity may be spread. Finishing course may be carried out with the power trowel fixed with blades when the concrete surface has reached sufficient stiffening. Timing of the spread and trowelling are vital for highquality results. The water content in the base concrete should be optimum to draw in the dry shake hardener. Excess water in the base concrete will wash down the binders and cause improper spread of aggregates. While, lack of sufficient moisture in the base concrete will cause improper bond and will also result in cracking.

Old Floors

In case of re-topping of old floors the topping concrete should have a minimum thickness of 25mm. An appropriate bonding agent
should be applied over the old floor.

POST APPLICATION

Curing must be started as early as possible and be completed continuously without interruption in order to achieve good surface durability. Curing membranes must be applied at the correct coverage rate. Wet curing is ideal and must be completed without
intermittent drying.
