KEY BENEFITS AND FEATURES

USAGE

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

SURFACE PREPARATION

NEW SURFACE

The surface should be sound, free from dirt, oils and greases. In case if any concrete curing membranes has been used it has to be removed by wire brush thoroughly to avoid debonding.

OLD SURFACE

If the concrete has been casted and used for a while, check for cracks and if anything is found it has to be filled properly. Please read our Technical booklet for suggestions or talk to TECHNY Technical cell.

INSTALLATION

A slope of 1:100 has to be formed with TECR COOLLITEor using grano mix with 1:4:8 using 6mm downgraded chips maintaining an average thickness of 16 – 18 mm at the centre of the surface. Install the tiles with TECR BOND 25 or CM 1:5 and press the tiles gently to remove the entrapped air below the tile to avoid vacuum formation. Pointing shall be done with TECR TILE 12 – COOL. For skirting purpose, each tile must be cut into two and the edges chamfered using diamond cutting machine. The tile should be embedded in the parapet wall at the brick level and finished off with proper plastering. It is recommended not to use soft and porous materials as substrate. The compaction and air voids in these materials can cause cracks in the future.

POST APPLICATION

Wipe of the excess grout before hardening.
