TEC WAVE 3000
TEC WAVE 3000
HIGH FLEXIBILITY MEMBRANE
KEY BENEFITS AND FEATURES
- Outstanding compatibility with concrete and masonry.
- Excellent breathability allowing water vapor transmission from interiors while forming flexible waterproof membrane for exteriors.
- Remarkable weather resistance and crack bridging properties.
- Flexibility of the cured membrane greatly reduces possibility of future crack development.
- Forms a strong bond with coated substrate and remains unaffected by substrates thermal expansion and contraction.
- UV resistant and also resistant to chalking and flaking.
- Single Component- easy to apply.
USAGE
- Forms into a tough yet flexible waterproof barrier making it the product of choice variety of applications.
- Is ideally suited for waterproofing of Terrace, Roof Slabs, Sunken areas and Sunshades.
- Can be applied on a variety of substrates like concrete, masonry, heat pressed tiles and asbestos.
- Ideal for waterproofing of sloped roof, dome roofs, shell roofs, and folded plate roofs.
- Is very effective as a damp-proof coating for basements and below grade structures.
- Protects concrete and masonry against corrosive weather and atmospheric gases
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
Surface Preparation
The surface should be sound, free from dirt, oils and grease. In case any concrete curing, membranes are used, they should be removed by Wire brushing. Surface should be washed thoroughly preferably by water jetting to be free of fine dust. Although TecR Wave 3000 has excellent crack bridging properties, it is advised that the existing cracks be filled with TecR Krackfiller.
Mixing
TecR Wave 3000 is a single component system- only clean water need be added for mixing. After addition of water the material needs to be mixed until a uniform mix of brushable consistency is achieved. For best results the following dilution proportions may be followed. Primer Coat 1.5-2 Liters of water/ Kg- depending on substrate porosity.
First Top Coat 200- 250ml of water/ Kg
Second Top Coat 200- 250ml of water/ Kg
* Similar proportion for small pack
Application
The surface to be coated should be made damp without allowing water puddles. The mix should be applied with a good quality brush in short neat strokes taking care to ensure that there are no air bubbles. Subsequent coats can be applied after the previous coat is surface dry. One primer and two top coats will result in an overall DFT of 500 Microns. For complicated roof structures like domes, shells and folded plate an intermediate layer of glass mesh after the first top coat and an additional top coat are recommended.
Avoid application at temperatures above 40°C or below 10°C.
At temperatures around 30°C the drying time would be 4-6 hours.
Post Application
The membrane should be cured for a minimum period of 72 hours.
